The Great Lakes Fishery Trust (GLFT) is now accepting Ecological and Biological Research to Inform Management preliminary proposals. This request for proposals (RFP) process will be used for the disbursement of up to $1.3 million in grants. In 2025, the GLFT’s lead research priority is lake whitefish recruitment. Additionally, the GLFT will consider proposals responding to six other research themes.

Beginning in 2025, the Ecological and Biological Research RFP will be open in alternate years as the GLFT pursues directed investments in lake whitefish research. The next RFP will be released late in 2026 for the 2027 program year.

The GLFT will hold a webinar on the application process on Thursday, December 12 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

Register for the webinar.
